Since 2015, Chacruna has been at the forefront of producing large-scale conferences in Mexico, moving to annual spring conferences on the West Coast in 2018. This year, they’re excited to announce that Psychedelic Culture 2024 will continue their tradition of exploring cutting-edge themes in the psychedelic conversation—themes that are often overlooked by the mainstream. This initiative is focused on Indigenous Reciprocity & Decolonial Dialogues, Psychedelic Justice, Protection of Sacred Plants & Cultural Traditions, and amplifying voices from the Global South.
Psychedelic Culture 2024 is a two-day in-person conference that promises to be a meaningful gathering of minds and spirits—hosted at the Brava Theater, a cooperative led by women in the traditional Latin neighborhood of San Francisco, California.
A Meeting of Minds and Hearts
At Psychedelic Culture 2024, Chacruna will curate comprehensive panels across three simultaneous tracks, offering experiential opportunities that foster deep conversations on topics including Indigenous voices and reciprocity, biocultural conservation, the relationship between religion and psychedelics, and the art of holding mindful ceremonies. They intend to delve into pressing issues like legislation reform, law and policy, racial equity and access, queering psychedelics, and the role of women, veterans, and disabled populations in the psychedelic movement.
Furthermore, the conference will provide a platform for critical reflections on psychedelic science, including psychedelic-assisted therapy, discussions on sexual abuse, touch, ethics, and dialogues bridging neuroscience and shamanism.

In addition to thought-provoking panels and discussions, Psychedelic Culture 2024 will offer attendees the chance to participate in music and meditation circles and rapé (tobacco) ceremonies.
