Is the Reincarnation of Jesus Living in Siberia?

Deep in the forests of the southern Siberian Kuraginsk district of Krasnoyarsk territory, in the small settlement of Petropavlovka – there’s a community of around 4,000 people that believe a man named Vissarion (aka: Sergey Anatolyevitch Torop) is the reincarnation of Jesus Christ. The Vissarionites are about 10,000 in number worldwide, and their movement is known as the Church of the Last Testament.

Vissarion had the revelation that he was the reincarnation of Christ when he was 29-years-old (August 18, 1990), and has been speaking publicly about his “role” since 1991. He teaches his followers about aliens, reincarnation, veganism, and that we are on the precipice of the end of the world (or at least the end of civilization as we currently understand it).

The documentary below from Vice travels to Siberia in order to investigate Vissarion, his followers, and to get a better idea of what this “cult” believes…
