Esoteric Encyclopedia Entry of the Week: Akashic Records

The Akashic Records are a termed coined in the late 1800s from the Theosophical society – the word “Akashic”, stems from the Sanskrit word “akasha”, which is defined as “sky”, “space”, “luminous” or “æther”. The Akashic Records are believed to be a compendium of thoughts, events and emotions which are encoded in the non-physical plane of existence known as the astral plane.

In our experience, and through our channeling, we have come to know the Akasha as the allowed record keeper of the karma/dharma experienced/fulfilled by the collective consciousness. According to our guide:

The Akasha houses the destiny of your soul’s journey through the decisions that were made in all lives that you completed…the living library of your soul’s ballad of the experienced lives that you were able to fully learn from, and complete. The ability to house the records is in the DNA strands that are the home to the records and Akashic lineage.”

The Akashic records have also been written about by the famous psychic medium, Edgar Cayce, who equated them to the “universe’s super computer system.”
