Dreams are often clues for our understanding of our subconscious mind, thoughts, and feelings. Dreams help us see a bigger picture of our life. Dreams do not always send us deep messages, but they are usually symbolic so it is advisable not to take them literally. It is better to keep a dream journal by your side so you could write down what you dreamed of as soon as you wake up. This way, it would prevent you from forgetting your dreams.
Not confusing your intuition with wishful thinking
Developing your intuition sure gives you an apparent edge in your life, but please do not confuse it with wishful thinking. It is better to learn how you can identify mere mind’s reaction to a certain event or feeling and real intuition in action. Applying your intuition with your interpretation of things ensure that you are indeed using your mind’s power to the maximum. This way you can feel confident that you are making the right decision. Sometimes, we are so inclined to think of our supposed outcome that we are unconsciously neglecting what our intuition wants us to do. Meditating as much as possible

Meditate regularly and make sure that you are free of distractions. Turn off your mobile phone, be in a quiet room, and listen to your surroundings. Breathe in deeply and breathe out. You should spare more time to meditation as it is necessary that you get comfortable tuning your mind and connecting into your feelings, desires, and needs. Listen to what your intuition is telling you as much as possible. Stay completely still and listen carefully.
Going on a sabbatical
Whether you admit it or not, our life, coupled with regular work, is already stressful enough and it is affecting our connection with our intuition. You may wish to decide to go on an extended break from our regular life and go on a retreat to reconnect with our thoughts and feelings. It will also help you while you are at it if you disconnect from modern technology like your mobile phones and laptops. For a moment, forget about responsibilities. Get yourself in a place where distractions are kept at a minimum and that you can be alone with nature. Listen to the birds chirping and the leaves rustling. Going on a long walk will also help you as you access your most inner thoughts. Do not forget to bring a notebook where you can jot down whatever it is you feel like writing. Going on a sabbatical once in a while helps you restarts your connection with your intuition.
Knowing when intuition is indeed talking to you
You must be able to identify the time when your intuition is really talking to you in order to fully understand it. Sometimes, intuition can be so subtle and it gets put at the back of our mind; hence neglecting its important message to us. There are many ways our intuition can send us a message. Most people’s intuition deliver its messages through flashes or visions; sometimes it sends us messages through a feeling of discomfort in our guts, a feeling or unexplainable relief; and sometimes, through words. Since intuition is mostly about a feeling of clarity and comfort, you will be able to know when it is really talking to you when you feel a sense of peace in your gut.
Your intuition would not shout at you or tap you in the back. Most of the time, it chooses to deliver a message in the quietest way so it is important to pay close attention to these times.
