Understanding Ayahuasca: From Indigenous Origins to Neo-Shamanism

On Saturday, November 19th, 2016 Synergetic Press will be hosting an event in celebration of the publication of their latest book, the Ayahuasca Reader: Encounters with the Amazon’s Sacred Vine,  a comprehensive guide to the history, myths & cultural use of ayahuasca, which has been edited by Luis Eduardo Luna and Steven F. White, and features a foreword by Ralph Metzner.

The event, Understanding Ayahuasca: From Indigenous Origins to Neo-Shamanism, will take place at The Alchemist’s Kitchen, a unique destination in the Bowery, whichis open daily as a botanical dispensary and a whole plant tonic bar that serves elixirs and gluten-free vegan food, and also offers a gateway into a conscious lifestyle and community through our wellness events and transformational workshops.

The day will be spent examining literary and artistic inspirations brought about by ayahuasca as a muse of the mystical mind, as well.
